Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Today, I woke up and felt like baking. The question was, what should I make? My husband has been on a Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin kick ever since I made them for the first time two months ago. If it were up to him, I'd be baking some of that right now.

Then I remembered, we got some quick cooking oats at the store last week (why, I don't know) so I decided to make some oatmeal cookies. The hubby's request, "No raisins." So I'm going for chocolate chips instead. When it comes to him, the rule of thumb is: when in doubt, chocolate chips.

I found a recipe online that looked yummy so now I have the dough chilling in the fridge. I hope they come out good!

Can't wait to throw them in the oven! I want the apartment to smell like freshly-baked cookies already - or at least warm up a bit with the oven. It's been a nice day so far, but since I opened the window to get some fresh air, it's turning nippy inside. I know I shouldn't complain, summer will be here before I know it and our floor-to-ceiling windows keep the apartment nice and roasty warm. I should at least go to the balcony and enjoy the sun while it lasts though.

Knowing me however, I'll just turn on some Doctor Who and work on my nieces' crocheted purses (gotta take advantage of my time off!). Maybe I'll post a picture of them when they are done.
